Every student needs to attend registration check-in. Even though you have already pre-registered for your courses, you must still come to campus to complete your registration on Tuesday, January 7.
Tuesday, January 7 from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Kathryn Hall.
You must have your ID to register. If you do not have an ID, you may pick one up on registration day in Student Life, located in the Campus Center. If you will not be returning to campus due to internships or student teaching assignments, please call the Records Office at 217-479-7014 to complete your registration by phone.
If your family, town of residence, or other information for press release purposes has changed, please contact the Office of Public Relations. In addition, if you'd like to provide a publicity photo or have one taken, contact the Office of Public Relations in Kathryn Hall room 207, by phone at 217-473-7181, or by email.
All classes begin their spring schedule on Wednesday, January 8.
Full-time tuition covers up to 18 hours in the spring term. Students may take an overload if approved by the Registrar without additional charge. There is an additional fee of $320 for directed study courses. In case of withdrawal from a course, you may contact the Business Office as to whether or not a refund applies. Failure to attend a class, particularly prior to withdrawal, may actually increase a student's financial obligation through loss of financial aid.
The last day to add a course or to register for a directed study, independent study, or career experience is Tuesday, January 14. The last day to drop a course without showing on the student's transcript is Wednesday, January 22. After this, the last day to withdraw with a W, WP, or WF on the transcript is Friday, March 21.
Pass/Fail Grading Option
The last day to complete a Pass/Fail form is Wednesday, January 22. Forms are available in the Records & Registration Office. Courses in the Core, Breadth Component, B.A. language requirement, and major or minor requirements cannot be taken on a Pass/Fail basis.
The last day to withdraw from a course and the College without academic penalty is Friday, March 21. Please note that a withdrawal at this point will not reduce your charges. Petitions to withdraw from a course with W grades after this date will be considered only for extenuating circumstances beyond the student's control. Failure to withdraw officially from any or all courses will result in an "F" being entered on the permanent record and included in the computation of the GPA.
All vehicles must be registered in the Student Life Office. There is a $50 per semester charge for a parking sticker, which will be billed after registering your vehicle. You must supply your license #, make, year, and model of your vehicle.
New students can move into their residence hall (information was emailed previously) between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7. Check-in will be at the Campus Center. Please refer to your email for more specific check-in information.
Returning students can move into their residence hall Monday, January 6 between noon and 4:30 p.m. or Tuesday, January 7 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
