MacMurray Admissions site makes the grade
October 15, 2013
The National Research Center for College & University Admissions, a nonprofit trade association for admissions counselors and departments, gave an “A” grade to the admissions portion of the MacMurray website last week, and ranked the site among the 100 best in the country. The admissions portion of the college website is the main portal for prospective students.
To determine the grading and rankings, the center has focus groups of high school students rate every college website in the country on such features as: the ability for students to apply online, find information on the community or city in which the college is located and the ability to contact the admissions office to set-up a campus visit. They also graded the website on the ease of navigation and its design.
The MacMurray site’s grade has been rising steadily in the past few years, from a C to a B and now the top letter grade. MacMurray College was one of 160 schools to receive an A grade this year, putting the site among the top 5 percent of all college websites.
