VP to referee scholary journal
James Maxwell to join panel at technology-management magazine.
James Maxwell, MacMurray’s recently hired vice president for academic and student affairs, has been appointed to serve as a referee for the Journal of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering.
Along with other referees for the Journal, Maxwell will be reviewing submitted papers for peer-reviewed publication. He will also function as a reader for informational, non-refereed articles. The audience for the Journal is faculty, students and professionals in both industry and academia, according to the Journal’s Web site. Renamed in January 2012, the it was published 1984 through 2011 as the Journal of Industrial Technology. The Journal is published by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering, based in Ann Arbor, MI (www.atme.org).
Dr. Maxwell was named last month to be the chief academic officer at MacMurray and is expected to take over his duties at MacMurray in June. Most recently he was the department head and professor of the Industrial Technology Department of the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
