MacMurray presents 'A Christmas Carol'
Readers-theater version to take stage Dec. 8-10
JACKSONVILLE, IL – MacMurray College will present a readers theater presentation of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol – a radio drama on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 8-10. The play will begin 7:30 p.m. each evening at the Marian Chase Schaeffer Studio Theatre in the Education Complex, west of Hardin Avenue between East Beecher and Routt streets on the MacMurray campus.
The cost is $5 at the door and is free to MacMurray, Lincoln Land and Illinois College students. There are no advance tickets. Saturday’s performance will be interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing.
The play’s large cast presents numerous people from the MacMurray and Jacksonville communities. Harvey Mack plays Ebenezer Scrooge, and the play is directed by Rich McCoy. Also among the cast are: Dakota Beavers, Bailey Brammeier, Robert Brammeier, Cathy Colburn, Jacob Combs, Cathy Doyle, Meredith Durall, Darin Harms, Neal Hart, Tom Heinzlman, Caleb Klauser, Liz Klauser, Mark Luth, Patsy Kelly Mack, Ed Preston, Tyler Stephenson, Robert Seufert, Roger Streu, Susan Weller and Jennifer Wellhausen.
