Area student honored

Teresa Marcotte named October student of the month.


Teresa Marcotte, of Kankakee, IL, was honored as the student leader for the month of October. Marcotte is a MacMurray senior majoring in interpreting. Student leaders of the month are selected by showing academic excellence and involvement around campus.

 Marcotte is involved in many different organizations at MacMurray. She is president of Mortar Board, a national honor society; vice president of Montage, the college literary magazine; and an active member on the Campus Activities Board. Her involvement and leadership in student organizations across campus makes her a great role model to other MacMurray students.

 Marcotte is the daughter of Teresa and Jacques Marcotte of Kankakee, IL.
