JACKSONVILLE, IL –Khara Koffel, associate professor of art at MacMurray, has had two photographs selected for an upcoming exhibition at a St. Louis art gallery.

The opening reception of “Pinholio,” a selection of pinhole photographs, is scheduled for 6-10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18 at the Good Citizen gallery, 2247 Gravois Ave, St. Louis MO, (314) 348-4587. The show will run through Dec. 17, with gallery hours noon to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, or by appointment.

One of Koffel’s two photographs that was accepted, “things i wish i could show you, #1” (pictured), is a pinhole photograph taken with a relatively long 30-second exposure on a digital SLR camera with a plastic lens altered to fit the camera.

Koffel exhibits her work regularly in the Midwest and beyond, with recent shows in St. Louis, Chicago, Maryland, Alabama and other venues. Koffel, a Jacksonville IL, resident, focuses on the intimate, depicting in her work personal stories, anecdotes and memories, often of family.
