The MacMurray community and Jacksonville-area musicians and actors will gather Saturday to remember Kerry Hahn, former theater instructor and coordinator of the College’s Adult Degree Completion Program. She died last month after a battle with cancer.
The tribute to Ms. Hahn will be 7:30 Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Marion Chase Schaeffer Theatre in the Education Complex on the MacMurray College campus. Among those expected to perform are: Tina Arnold, Dakota Beavers, Terri Benz, Kari Catton, Grant Estes, Rich McCoy, Jacob Pahde, Linda Schneider, Dr. Robert Seufert, Tyler Stephenson and Jennifer Wellhausen.
In addition to her work in the MacMurray drama activities, Hahn was active in drama in both Jacksonville and Springfield. She was a graduate of Springfield High School, received her bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University and worked in marketing at BBDO Advertising in New York. She was also a theater instructor for many years at Benedictine University at Springfield.
