MacMurray College’s Fine Art Series continues with a performance and a gallery opening. Both events are free and open to the public.

On Thursday Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. painter Bryce Speed’s collection “Peaceable Kingdom” will be on display in the Applebee Gallery in the Putnam Center for the Arts.

That same evening at 7:30 p.m., Lincoln Library Services Director Kathryn M. Harris will perform. An award-winning historian, actress and re-enactor, Harris will present “Being Harriet Tubman: Stories from the Underground Railroad” in the Marian Chase Schaeffer Theater in the Education Complex on MacMurray’s campus.

MacMurray’s Fine Art Series continues on March 3, when mixed-media artist Mario Gallardo’s collection “Tiny Deaths” will open on campus.
