Area man named Student Leader of the Month
Michael Viles is honored for contributions to MacMurray College
Michael Viles of Jacksonville was named Student Leader of the Month for November at MacMurray College. Michael is the son of Art Viles of Jacksonville and the late Alberta Viles. He is the husband of Esther Viles.
Viles is a senior majoring in Special Education and Psychology. He is a peer tutor in the Center for Learning Excellence, a board member of the Jacksonville Council for Exceptional Children and was selected as student of the year by the Illinois Council for Exceptional Children. He is also a member of the Student Veteran’s Organization and started MacMurray’s Drum Circle.
