Area scholar named student leader of the month

Joseph Essig nominated by MacMurray staff.


Joseph Essig of Homer, IL was named student leader of the month for October at MacMurray College. Essig is junior majoring in history and political science. He is a resident advisor and Dean’s List student.

“Without fail, Joe is there when needed and has really taken his role of Residential Advisor as a serious responsibility. Residents of Kendall all know and respect him. He is truly an asset to the department,” said Dan Roberts Coordinator for Residence Life.

Essig graduated from Heritage High School in Broadlands, IL in 2008. He is the son of Dean and Sara Essig in Homer.
