Pittsfield native named Academic All-Conference
Joe Butler joins select roster of scholar-athletes.
MacMurray baseball player Joe Butler has been named to the Academic All-Conference team by the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The Pittsfield High School graduate was the workhorse of the MacMurray pitching staff in 2010, appearing in 14 conference games and notching both the team’s wins this year. The MacMurray junior is the son of Rich and Donna Butler of Pittsfield.
To be eligible for Academic All-Conference honors, a player must hold a 3.5 grade point average on a 4 point scale and have been with the college for at least a year.
