2012 Livewire Award Winners
Neil’ 61 and Joan Shaw ’58 Williams Livewire Award
For years, College Trustee Neil Williams ’61 and his wife Joan Shaw Williams ’58 were strong supports of the Livewire program. They supported the success of this vital fundraising effort by sponsoring a special award to the individual who has the most pledges to their name. Tragically, Neil passed away in 2009. To honor his memory, Joan and many other members of the Mac family created the Neil’ 61 and Joan Shaw ’58 Williams Livewire award fund. This endowed fund exists to provide an annual monetary academic award to the student caller with the most pledges at the close of Livewire. This credit may be used towards any expenses the student incurs while obtaining their MacMurray education.
The 2012 winner of the Neil’ 61 and Joan Shaw ’58 Williams Livewire award fund — this diligent worker stayed on task, worked almost every shift, and promoted positive relations with alums and friends through conversation: Brooke Clemmons '14.
