Welcome to the Center for Learning Excellence!
Our learning center is much more than just a place to study. It is an interactive learning environment where students come to work with Faculty, Professionals, and Peer Tutors to get the most out of their academic collegiate experience. Located in the Education Complex, the Center is a convenient place for quiet individual study or interactive tutoring and study groups to meet. We offer free tutoring to all students in all academic areas including math, writing, psychology, criminal justice, social work and more. We can also help with study tips, test anxiety, note-taking, presentations, speeches, and computer skills.
We take pride in providing optimal academic support for all students in an environment that is friendly, encouraging, and motivating. Our goal is to not only to assist students in getting the best grade on a test or research paper that they can but to teach them how to become lifelong learners. We think learning should be fun and rewarding and that is how we approach the academic support that we provide.
Our computer lab provides a great place to work on assignments where help is always available when needed. We have software to enrich and support many courses. Students can also take advantage of our location to check e-mail between classes or print their papers or Powerpoints for class.
We are continuing to make improvements to provide MacMurray students and Faculty the highest quality of academic assistance possible.
The Center continues to grow as we help MacMurray students help themselves.
