The MacMurray College men's golf team placed fifth out of eight teams at the SLIAC Conference Championships. This year's event was held April 22-23 at the Forest Park Golf Course in St. Louis, Mo.

Senior Jeremy Rolf shot a final-round 69 and placed sixth overall with a 220.  Rolf's 69 tied for the best round in the 54-hole event and earned him a spot of the All-Tournament 2nd Team.

Tarryn Link (231) finished second for the Highlanders and 16th overall.  Logan Woolridge (232) tied for 17th place; Max Rieske (235) placed 21st and Cory Cooper rounded out MacMurray's scoring with a 253 (27th place).

The Highlanders improved their score in each of their three rounds of the tournament.  They opened the championship with a 315, then shot a 302 and finished the event with a 301 in the final round.

Coach Derek James' club received the Team Sportsmanship Award at the conclusion of the tournament; and Tarryn Link was the Highlanders' representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
