Aurora University Completes Sweep With 14-2 Win in Game #2

The MacMurray College lost 14-2 in the second game of their non-conference doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Lenz Field. The Highlanders managed only four hits in both games Saturday and were swept by the Spartans.
Alec Quandt had an RBI double in the bottom of the first to tie the game at 1-1 and Mike Raines added an RBI single for the Highlanders in the bottom of the sixth inning. Ison Smith and Kyle Marshall also had singles for MacMurray in the game.
Dillon Hodges was the starting pitcher for MacMurray and took the loss; while Tyler Findlay was the winning pitcher for Aurora.
Tanner Oymaian was 2-4 with three runs batted in and two runs scored; and Ryan Rybakowski went 2-5 with three runs batted in and two runs scored for the Spartans.
Aurora University improves to 4-9 overall with the win; while the Highlanders fall to 3-5.
Coach Justin Fuhler's team will open up SLIAC league play on Monday, when they host Principia College at Lenz Field.
