Senior forward Brady Slagle scored fourteen points and grabbed six rebounds to pace a balanced Highlander attack in Sunday's 69-57 victory over the visiting Crusaders from the University of Dallas.
The Highlanders shot 58% and raced out to a 40-28 halftime lead. Junior center Clayton Whitlock added twelve points and senior forward Dylan Burton was also in double-figures with ten points. Paul Crowder and James Williams chipped in with eight points apiece.
Nate Wilson led the University of Dallas with a game-high eighteen points and nine rebounds.
Coach Todd Creal's club improves to 6-3 with the win; while the Crusaders drop to 5-3. The Highlanders return to SLIAC play on January 7 when the travel to Westminster College for a key conference game.
