MacMurray College Women’s Soccer Receives Honors

JACKSONVILLE, IL – Three MacMurray women’s soccer players received post season honors from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, with one player, Alexis Apodaca-Fresquez, receiving double honors.
Alexis Apodaca-Fresquez was named to the SLIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team for her play during the season. She was also named to the SLIAC Academic All-Conference Team. She is the daughter of Marc Apodaca and Radonna Fresquez of Littleton, CO, and is a junior majoring in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education.
Joining Apodaca-Fresquez on the Academic All-Conference Team are:
- Amber Davis, daughter of Anthony and Christy Davis from Springfield, IL. She is a sophomore majoring in social work.
- Elizabeth Suhrbier, daughter of Julia Perry, from Assumption, IL. She is a sophomore majoring in nursing.
To be awarded the honor, athletes must maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA, have at least sophomore standing and a full year at their current institute.
