Football Outside Linebacker Coach
Zachary Ruot enters his first year as the strength and conditioning coach and second season as the outside linebackers coach for the Highlanders. A graduate of Illinois College in 2012, Ruot was a three-year letterman as a corner for the Blueboys. While at Illinois College, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in sport management. He also completed an internship at Jacksonville High School where he primarily coached wide receivers for the Crimson football team.
Ruot is currently working on his masters in sport administration through the American Public University, as well as his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also interned at UAB with the strength and conditioning staff in the spring of 2013.
Ruot resides in Jacksonville.
