Business Administration
Our Business Administration major combines a well-directed liberal arts education with a solid study of business administration. The ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, is emphasized throughout the program.
Viewing business from a global perspective begins in the freshman year and continues to be emphasized throughout the program. Small class size and a caring faculty enhance the learning experience.
MacMurray also offers minors in Business Administration, Management, and Marketing.
Career Experience
Career Experiences (internships) are encouraged for juniors and seniors in all areas of Business Administration. Career Experiences provide exposure to and experience in the professional worlds of businesses, charitable organizations, and government.
Faculty members in the Business Department, working with the Director of Career Development and Placement, assist students in obtaining Career Experience positions and oversee the supervision of the student during the experience.
The positions vary from a few hours per week to full-time and from unpaid to entry-level. Positions have been held in government agencies, charitable organizations, financial institutions, businesses, and accounting firms. Some are in the Jacksonville area and some are near the students' homes or in other major metropolitan areas.
